Star Wars Battlefront 2 is now available for you to download and keep for free, so snap it up while you can!
It’s been a busy week in terms of Star Wars video game shenanigans, from the resurrection of Lucasfilm Games to EA losing its exclusivity to the franchise, there’s been a lot to take in.
So you’d be forgiven for almost forgetting that you can currently grab Star Wars Battlefront 2: Celebration Edition for free on the Epic Games Store till 21st January.
Now might be the perfect time to delve into EA’s intergalactic shooter, especially since rumours have begun to intensify surrounding the development of Battlefront 3.
The Celebration Edition of the game contains the base game as well as all the DLC and customisation options released before December 2019.
The base game, releasing originally in 2017, has had its fair share of controversies, largely surrounding the way it handled loot boxes in the game. EA was also previously fined €10 MILLION for use of loot boxes in FIFA after they broke betting laws in Holland.
Thankfully Battlefront 2 is a drastically different experience than it was at launch, as all pay-to-win microtransactions and loot boxes have been removed from the game.
Unlike other services like PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass, this freebie from the Epic Game Store isn’t tied to a subscription and is free to keep forever. With this in mind, it’s worth downloading Battlefront 2 just for the hell of it.
The Epic Game store has become synonymous with providing great freebies every month, with games like Hitman (2016), Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, Overcooked and various other titles ranging from AAA releases to unique indie experiences.
Remember, you only have till 21st January to claim Star Wars Battlefront 2 before the deal blasts off into lightspeed, so make sure you don’t miss out.
