‘Fallout New Vegas 2’ Is Reportedly In Discussion With Microsoft

Fallout New Vegas 2 is reportedly in discussion with Microsoft as claimed by an industry insider. However, its release is a long way off.

Rumours of a sequel to Fallout New Vegas have been making the rounds for years. But it never seems to be any closer to reality. Back in January 2021, there were rumours of Fallout New Vegas 2, however, it’s believed that it won’t arrive until the second half of this decade.

That being said, the rumour mill is spinning once more. This time the rumours are courtesy of the premium Giant Bomb show, Grubbsnax hosted by Jeff Grubb. According to Grubb, Microsoft is currently in “very early talks” of making FNV2 a reality.

Transcribed by VGC: “This is very early, but people have begun to have talks and say these words in sentences, and those words are ‘Obsidian’ and ‘New Vegas 2’,” said Grubb.

We’re talking years and years away. There’s at least an interest and conversations happening about making something like that actually a reality.

Grubb continued: “A lot of people at Microsoft think that this could work and there’s a lot of interest to make it happen.

Will the sequel ever happen?

As always, we must take rumours with a pinch of salt. That being said, I am often a believer that there is no smoke without fire. Furthermore, considering the fact that fans have been desperate for years to see a sequel, now that Microsoft owns Bethesda, it might be wise to make it happen.

I’m sure this won’t be the last time we’ll hear of the Fallout New Vegas 2 rumours, and when we do, we’ll be here to give you an update.
