Final Fantasy 16 Gets New Trailer And Release Window

Square Enix has shown a new trailer for the upcoming Final Fantasy 16, as well as revealing a release window.

During tonight’s State of Play, Square Enix ended the presentation with a word from Final Fantasy 16 producer Naoki Yoshida.

Though the world finds itself in turmoil, we’ll continue to focus on what we do best – making games,” Yoshida says. “For if, through entertainment, we can provide people with something they can truly enjoy, maybe we can bring a little happiness to these hard times.

The trailer then rolls, showing some of the story beats, characters and locations in the upcoming JRPG. We get a closer look at some of the playable characters revealed so far, including Clive and Jill. We also catch glimpses of some of the villains and monsters encountered during your adventure in Valisthea.

In addition to some cutscenes, we also see some gameplay of the combat in action. Overall, it looks like Final Fantasy 16 will be going for a more chaotic battle system.

Finally, the trailer ends with a release window; Summer 2023. That’s still a while away, but at least we now know when we can expect it to release.

Rest assured though, it looks like it’s shaping up to be the Final Fantasy game fans are dreaming of, with a return to a high fantasy setting and large scale boss battles.
