For The First Time Since Its Return, Cyberpunk 2077 Drops Out Of PS Store Top 20

Cyberpunk 2077 has dropped out of the top 20 on the PS Store for the first time since its return in June, adding to the woes of CDPR.

After a six-month absence, CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 finally returned to the PS Store after its very troubling launch. Almost instantly, the sci-fi RPG quickly became one of the best-selling games on PlayStation’s digital storefront.

Not such a triumphant return

Yet despite its return to the PlayStation Store, it was recommended by CD Projekt Red as well as Sony to not play Cyberpunk 2077 on a base PS4.

Now that Cyberpunk 2077 has dropped out of the top 20, does this spell further doom for the CDPR game? Only time will tell.

As confirmed on the PlayStation Blog, the sci-fi RPG is now absent from the PS Store top 20 for both Europe and the United States.

Will the next-gen version save the day?

While it’s still not looking great for CD Projekt Red, Cyberpunk 2077 will no doubt shoot back up the charts once the native next-gen version of the game finally releases. The native next-gen version of the game is expected to release by the end of this year. However, I would not be surprised if it gets delayed into 2022.
