Forza Horizon 5 Celebrates ‘Largest Launch Day’ In History

Xbox chief Phil Spencer has claimed that Forza Horizon 5 has celebrated the “largest launch day” in the history of Xbox Game Studios.

Last week, Forza Horizon 5 launched early for the Premium Edition owners. However, despite it being released four days before its official launch day, the open-world racer had already generated over 1 million players.

So, if FH5 was reaching over 1 million players before its official launch day, just imagine the numbers post-launch. Well, imagine now more, because FH5 has now blown that measly 1 million out of the water.

On Twitter, Phil Spencer has claimed that FH5 has been hitting 4.5+ million players following its official launch of November 9th. “We’ve invested for years in Xbox so more people can play,” tweeted Spencer. “With 4.5+ million players so far across PC, cloud & console, FH5 shows that promise coming to life. Largest launch day for XGS game, peak concurrent 3x FH4 high.

Aside from the online player numbers, Forza Horizon 5 has already achieved other impressive feats. Such as being the highest-rated game of 2021 (so far) and Playground Games have been going the extra mile in player accessibility.

In our review of Forza Horizon 5, we said: “the variety in activities, as well as care and attention put into its mechanics and world, makes Mexico such a delight to explore. It’s most certainly the best game in the series, and could well be the best game on Xbox right now.
