Free Cyberpunk 2077 DLC Expected To Drop Early This Year

It’s believed that the free DLC for Cyberpunk 2077 will arrive this year, and according to the developer it’ll be dropping very soon.

An update on the official Cyberpunk 2077 website recently went live, directing visitors to a page which states that the free DLC will release early 2021.

Free DLC starts hitting Night City Early 2021. Stay tuned for more info!” reads the website message.

The free DLC, which will be made available to all that purchase Cyberpunk 2077, was expected to release shortly after the game’s December 10th launch.

However due to the many issues that have plagued the game since its release, the DLC was expected to be delayed so that the developers could attempt to fix the highly anticipated RPG.

During a recent investor call, CDPR president and co-CEO Adam Kiciński said it was: “too early to judge” as to when the DLC might go live.

At the moment please let us handle the situation, and please let us make some more assessments, that’s still ahead of us; we don’t know yet, and we’re now focused on improving Cyberpunk,” said Kiciński.

According to the latest website update, that may have now changed, with a release date of “early 2021” seemingly still on the cards.

While we don’t exactly know what the free DLC will include, it’s likely to feature cosmetic items, weapons and extra story missions similar to that of the free DLC that was gifted to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt owners.

It’s also likely that the free DLC might very well drop shortly following the next big update for Cyberpunk 2077, which is expected to roll out next month.

Kiciński also mentioned that the highly anticipated multiplayer mode for Cyberpunk 2077 is still undated, but it is widely expected to arrive late this year.
