The Nintendo game creation tool Game Builder Garage is getting a physical release in Europe, according to a recent announcement.
Revealed via the official Nintendo UK Twitter account, the physical version of the game will be available from the 10th of September this year:
“Learn to make games with fun interactive lessons and step-by-step guidance. A physical version of #GameBuilderGarage will be available from 10/09!“
What is Game Builder Garage?
Released digitally back in June, Game Builder Garage is a programming tool that features an easy to use interface. While traditional game creation suites are usually complex and rely on code, Game Builder Garage allows players of all ages to create games of their own while implementing unique mechanics.
Of course, if you’ve been keeping up with our coverage of Game Builder Garage, you’ll know that players have already created some outstanding projects using the tool. From recreating classics like F-Zero to rebuilding DOOM’s hellscape, creative Nintendo fans have already proven the tool’s worth.
Now, it’s worth mentioning that North America already has a physical release of Game Builder Garage. However, the fact that Europe is now getting a retail version of the game means that more players will be able to enjoy the toolkit. While digital downloads have become all the rage, it’s easy to forget that not everyone is online.
