Cory Barlog the creative director at Santa Monica Studio has provided an update on the potential release date reveal for God of War Ragnarok.
As of late, rumours have been running rampant in relation to when God of War Ragnarok might release. Some have claimed that it will be delayed into 2023. While some have claimed that a release date announcement is merely days away.
In regards to the release date rumours, it was speculated that the God of War Ragnarok release date will be announced this month. However, as we now know, there’s only one day left until this month ends.
So, unless a release date is announced today or tomorrow, the rumours aren’t looking likely to come to fruition at this point.
That being said, Cory Barlog has provided an update on the status of God of War Ragnarok, which aims to cool fans’ expectations.

“Dear all, if it were up to me I would share all the information when I know about it. but it is not up to me,” tweeted the God of War dev.
“So please, be patient. I promise things will be shared at the earliest possible moment they can be,” continued Barlog. “We make games for you. we get to make games because of you.”
When will the release date be announced?
At this time we can only speculate. That being said, I’d be surprised if it doesn’t happen this year. Either way, as Barlog suggested, we’re just going to have to be patient until that time arrives.
