Sony has released added story details on God of War Ragnarok by updating the synopsis on the PlayStation Store page.
Without giving too much away, for those that have finished God of War (2018), will already know that Kratos will come face-to-face with a Mighty One. Furthermore, there was also that Atreus revelation later in the game.
Additionally, the name “Ragnarok” also gives a huge plot detail away. Those familiar with Norse mythology know that Ragnarok brings forth the end of the world. However, we now know a little more regarding the story of God of War Ragnarok.
According to the PlayStation Store page: “Fimbulwinter is well underway. Kratos and Atreus must journey to each of the Nine Realms in search of answers as Asgardian forces prepare for a prophesied battle that will end the world.”
Ragnarok is coming!
“Along the way, they will explore stunning, mythical landscapes, and face fearsome enemies in the form of Norse gods and monsters,” continues the synopsis. “The threat of Ragnarök grows ever closer. Kratos and Atreus must choose between their own safety and the safety of the realms.”
There are a couple of aspects from the updated synopsis that I find particularly intriguing. Such as “Asgardian forces prepare for a prophesied battle that will end the world.” To me, this sounds like there might be an all-out, large-scale war. Exciting!
Furthermore, “Kratos and Atreus must choose between their own safety and the safety of the realms.” Could this mean that unlikely bonds will be forged for the greater good? I don’t need any more reason to be excited for God of War Ragnarok, but now I’m a little more hyped.
Resellers strike again
In related God of War Ragnarok news, the epic Jotnar Edition was recently revealed, however, it seems resellers claimed up the stock within minutes to make greedy profits.
