Gotham Knights has a new release date and it’s closer than we thought

A new release date has been confirmed for Gotham Knights, and it’s arriving sooner than we thought.

Gotham Knights is the latest Batman spin-off video game coming out this year. It was shown off at the recent Opening Night Live at Gamescom 2022, and along with some new footage we learned that the release date has been moved up.

The new release date for the game is the 21st of October. That’s four days earlier than the original planned release date of October 25th. So if you’re excited for Gotham Knights, you’ll be able to get your hands on the game a little bit sooner than before.

We don’t know why the release date was shifted, but it does mean the game has less competition from other big hitters like Call of Duty. Modern Warfare 2 is set to release the following week on October 28th.

Gotham Knights release date – New Villains revealed

The new Gotham Knights trailer focused on the villains that’ll be in the game, including some fan-favourite characters. The biggest one is Harley Quinn, one of the most iconic Batman villains out there. She seems to be one of the most prominent villains, among others.

The rest of the cast includes Clayface, Mr Freeze and the Court of Owls. The trailer shows each of them in action, fighting against the characters we’ll be playing as in the game. Those characters include Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood and Robin.

A press release for the game says players will face off against “the mastermind criminal influencer Harley Quinn and the shape-shifting colossus Clayface, who are both part of the vast criminal element threatening the city in Gotham Knights, along with the cold-blooded Mr. Freeze and the secret and sinister Court of Owls.”

With the new release date, Gotham Knights will launch on October 21st on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
