Sony and Guerrilla Games have released two short gameplay clips for Horizon Forbidden West on PS4 Pro and it looks insane.
In December we got our first look at what Horizon Forbidden West looks like on the base PS4 (at least judging by the small print). However, they were only screenshots and not gameplay. Sure, the screenshots looked great, but even the worst games can look good in a still image.
We’ve seen plenty of Horizon Forbidden West gameplay on PlayStation 5, but we’ve been patiently waiting to see gameplay on the last-gen consoles. Alas, we wait no more!
Albeit the small snippets of gameplay released by Sony is for the PS4 Pro and not the base PS4. However, it gives us the best representation yet of what the sequel looks like on last-gen systems. That being said, hopefully, Sony will release base PS4 gameplay ahead of the game’s launch in February.
The two snippets of gameplay in question are short, yet it’s hard to argue that they don’t look stunning. Judging by the two gameplay clips, we could even say that they look a lot better than some new-gen games. Furthermore, Guerrilla Games has also released a batch of new PS4 Pro screenshots.
Last gen has never looked so good!
We’ve not got long now until Horizon Forbidden West arrives on PS4 and PS5 next month, which promises to be Aloy’s most dangerous expedition yet.
A new threat has plagued the lands and with her closest companions, she must venture into the Forbidden West to discover the secret of stopping an anomaly that promises to destroy all life as we know it. So, no pressure then.
Unfortunately, ahead of Horizon Forbidden West’s launch, spoilers have been set loose in the wild, so please be vigilant. But don’t worry, there are no spoilers in our articles.
Before we go, Guerrilla Games has also announced that Horizon Forbidden West has gone gold! This means that its main cycle of development is complete and it’s ready to ship to retail as well as to the PS Store.
