Riot Games is collaborating with Japanese clothing manufacturer UNIQLO on a new range of League of Legends merchandise.
What’s in the League Of Legends x UNIQLO Range?
The new collection was revealed via a tweet on the League of Legends Twitter account. Seen above, it features a picture of the character Ahri modelling a K/DA shirt. UNIQLO’s collection also features four other shirts, featuring in-game references like the summoner’s rift and poros. Coming in at $19.90 each, the shirts will be available in a range of sizes, from XXS to 3XL. In a statement issued by Riot Games’ Ryan Crosby, the marketing head highlighted the significance of the new merch and Riot’s partnership with UNIQLO:
“Uniqlo is dedicated to creating unique and personalized forms of expression and passion through their UT collections and we find similar passion with what we create for players of Riot Games. We’re proud to have the opportunity to partner with a company that values creativity and self-expression in all of the different ways it can manifest.”
What Else Has League Of Legends Done?
Prior to UNIQLO and Riot’s joint announcement, the partnership was teased through an image posted on K/DA’s Twitter account. Posted in November last year, the image features a poster for LoL’s virtual girl group K/DA. Eagle-eyed fans noticed a UNIQLO logo at the bottom right-hand corner. Of course, this isn’t LoL’s first foray into the world of fashion. Riot Games previously partnered with Louis Vuitton back in 2019 to create a character inspired capsule collection. Additionally, UNIQLO has a history in the gaming fashion scene. Pokemon clothing lines have dropped in the past, which we personally love! Furthermore, US Animal Crossing fans will be able to get their hands on a brand new line soon!
The new League of Legends Uniqlo collection will be available through the clothing brands website. As you can imagine, stocks are sure to go fast, so you’ll need to be fast if you want to grab some league themed threads.
