The fourth Season of both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and the free-to-play Battle Royale, Warzone, is about to begin. Ahead of the new season, Activision and Infinity Ward are gearing up for the big reveal, starting with the latest game update.
The latest update is thought to be the last one before the fourth Season lands, and it’s not as big as previous updates we’ve been seeing from the teams.

Deathmatch Domination, Drop Zone, Shipment 24/7, Shoot House 24/7, Gun Game on Gunfight Maps, and Plunder Quads are all part of the new update. Meanwhile, it’s time to say goodbye to Realism Mosh Pit, Hardhat 24/7, Clean Up on Aisle 9, Reinfected Ground War, BR Trios Classic and Blood Money Trios.
The final playlist update is a new Modified playlist for Special Operation Brimstone.
As for Warzone, Battle Royale Trios Classic has been replaced with Plunder Quads…for some reason.
Season Four of MW and WZ is expected to drop on June 2nd, though this has yet to be confirmed by Activision and Infinity Ward. We do know it’s coming soon, and it’s likely to have a tie-in with the reveal of Call of Duty 2020.
Easter eggs related to Black Ops have already been spotted in Warzone, so it’s just a matter of time before the next Call of Duty game is revealed. Unless we’ve all been hoodwinked, it’s a pretty safe bet to say that the unannounced Call of Duty game for 2020 will be a Black Ops title. Rumours of such have been floating around for a while now, suggesting we’ll be seeing a new spin on the Black Ops series, with a focus on the Cold War.

According to Eurogamer, the next Call of Duty will be called “Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War,” although the news has yet to be formally announced by Activision.
With the next generation of consoles looming, it’s believed the next CoD will be cross-platform, launching on Xbox One, PS4, PC and the upcoming PS5 and Xbox Series X.
