A Naughty Dog concept artist has posted some artwork on their personal ArtStation page, and it seems to hint that the studio’s next project could be an epic fantasy game.
The ArtStation page belongs to that of Hyoung Nam, who shared some stunning pieces of artwork that looks to be inspired by a fantasy game.
The post, which was shared to Reddit, features three pieces of stunning artwork, along with the line: “Inspire from a new game. You know what I’m talking about… 😉”.
The art pieces feature a badass-looking woman who seems to be reflecting on slaying a dragon-like creature.
The other two pieces of artwork look to be a woman that perhaps dabbles in the mystic arts.
Obviously this could all be nothing, the artwork could just be Hyoung Nam showing off his incredible talent all while teasing the masses for a bit of fun. Either way, the pieces are wonderful – check them out here!
While it is assumed that Naughty Dog’s next game might be another Uncharted or The Last of Us 3, I really like the idea of the studio trying something totally new.
Just imagine the epic worlds and characters that Naughty Dog could bring to life in the fantasy RPG genre! It certainly excites me!
However before Naughty Dog brings us any new game the chances are that the team will be hard at work developing the anticipated multiplayer mode for The Last of Us 2, but that’s not to say that the studio won’t be working on something on the side.
