The following article contains potential spoilers for Far Cry 6. Proceed with caution.

Far Cry 6 has yet to be announced by Ubisoft, but rumour on the street says its reveal could be coming as soon as next month. Although anything on the game is, of course, yet to be confirmed, there’s also been some supposed leaks on what the six mainline addition to the FC franchise will bring.
We’ve already reported on the rumour that Far Cry 6 will take place in a “tropical” location, outside of the US, but now it’s claimed that some of the focus of the game will be on the narcotics trade.

The new rumour comes from Reset Era userĀ Okabe, who’s been pretty consistent with correct leaks in the past. As always though, take the rumour with a pinch of salt for now.
Okabe said of FC 6 [via ComicBook]: “Hope y’all like riding horses and shooting while riding horse.
“Tropical-ish islands.
“Helping zoo’s.
“Using jetpacks.
“Narcos.
“And co op.”

The biggest things for me here are “Narcos” and “co-op.” Personally, co-op in Far Cry is a much-needed addition so I hope that’s true. As for “narcos,” it could point to an 80s-style look at the drug smuggling trade (though I’m pretty sure jet packs weren’t really a thing in the 80s).
Hopefully we’ll get some news on the rumours during Ubisoft’s big summer streaming event, Ubisoft Forward, which is taking place on July 12.
We first heard about Far Cry 6Ā back in February, when industry insider and known leaker, Jason Schreier, claimed the game was in the works. Back before the reveal of Assassinās Creed Valhalla, UbisoftāsĀ earnings callĀ revealed the company would be launching five AAA games between April 2020 and March 2021.
Commenting on the news, Schreier tweeted the following: āAnyone holding out hope for Splinter Cell is, once again, going to be disappointed. Sorry! (Itās AC and Far Cry.)ā
Considering that one of the games definitely was Assassinās Creed, it seems likely that Schreier is correct about the second unknown game being a new addition to the Far Cry series. (Also, yāknow, itās Jason Schreier, who is pretty much never wrong about anything when it comes to video games).
Only time will tell!
