Sony will reportedly reveal exciting new hardware next week

Sony is reportedly set to reveal some new hardware next week, though it doesn’t sound like it will be a new console.

We’re sure everyone would love the announcement of a PS5 Slim. The new-gen console is a bit of a behemoth, so something a bit smaller would certainly be welcome. But unfortunately, it’s unlikely we’ll see one for a while, outside of this homebrew one.

On the upside, according to a new report from eXputer’s Tom Henderson, Sony might show off some new hardware next week. Last week, a report also from Henderson claimed that a new PS5 pro controller could be unveiled soon. While Henderson is still unable to confirm if the controller will be revealed, he is confident in some other pieces of hardware.

Namely, three new sets of headsets, and two new monitors. The headsets, called the “INZONE” H-series headsets, will reportedly have three versions revealed next week. These will be the INZONE H3, INZONE H7, and INZONE H9, all of which come with 360 spatial sound, and are all Discord certified.

According to the report, the H3 will be the cheapest, and will be a wired headset. The H7 will be a wireless headset, and will have the best battery life of the lot. And the H9 will also be wireless, the most expensive, but will have noise-cancelling.

Prices for the three headsets haven’t been revealed at this point in time.

what else will be revealed?

As well as those, two new monitors under the INZONE brand are set to be revealed with “exclusive features for PlayStation.” These features supposedly include HDR Tone Mapping, and Auto Genre Picture Mode.

Henderson’s sources claim that one monitor will be for full HD gaming at 240Hz. The other being 4K gaming at 144Hz. Both will also have variable refresh rate support, and have low latency.

And they will both apparently have “gaming assist features,” such as the FPS being displayed, game time, a viewfinder, improved brightness in dark locations, and being able to fine tune brightness and contrast.

The prices of the monitors have also not yet been revealed. Whether or not we’ll see the pro controller is up in the air. But it’s existence does make sense when you think of the Xbox Elite Controller.
