Nintendo Direct Will Air Tomorrow And Features 40-Minutes of Switch News

Nintendo has announced that the next Nintendo Direct will be airing tomorrow. With around 40-minutes of footage, let’s do some speculating.

The Nintendo Direct will air on June 21 at 7 a.m. PT/ 10 a.m. ET. It will be “featuring roughly 40 minutes of information focused mainly on Nintendo Switch titles launching this year, including new details on Pikmin 4.”

This news comes courtesy of an official Nintendo Tweet posted earlier today.

Nintendo Direct Will Air Tomorrow

With the last Nintendo Direct airing this February and featuring news about Tears of the Kingdom and Pikmin 4, we can expect much of the same this time around (minus ToTK news).

With only Pikmin 4 news confirmed as of now, we can only speculate as to what other games we may see featured.

This could include news on the upcoming Professor Layton game that was announced in February. Professor Layton and The New World Of Steam is yet to receive a release date and fans are desperate to know when they can join in on the detective’s latest adventure.

Pokémon may be featured with some news on the new Scarlet and Violet DLC. Additionally, the latest Fantasy Life instalment – The Girl Who Steals Time – may receive some updates and a possible release date.

For those who are still clinging onto hope, Hollow Knight: Silksong may finally receive some news after not being present in any of 2023’s other gaming showcases. However, I’m not holding out hope.

Pikmin 4 News

It does seem that the majority of the Nintendo Direct will be dedicated to the latest Pikmin instalment. First announced during September 2022’s Direct, Pikmin 4 is due to receive an in-depth look at gameplay ahead of its release on July 21.

Earlier this month, Pikmin fans received a new trailer that revealed the ability to customise your characters. As a new addition to the series, players will be able to turn their Rescue Corps members into a wide variety of characters with Mii-like hairstyles, skin tones and body types.

It will be interesting to see what updates we will receive during the showcase.
