The Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack Overview trailer is currently Nintendo’s most disliked trailer ever. Yikes!
Last month Nintendo announced that they will be adding N64 and SEGA Mega Drive games to the Nintendo Switch Online subscription service. However, in order to access them, subscribers would have to pay extra.
The price of the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack was also more expensive than many gamers thought it would be. For the basic NSO subscription, it costs £18/$20 USD or £31.50/$35 USD for a family subscription.
As well as offering online gaming, cloud saves and mobile app features, players would also be able to play a collection of classic NES and SNES titles. Overall, it’s not bad value for the cost of £18 in my opinion.
Yet, to access the benefits of the Expansion Pack, it will cost £35/$50 for a standard year or £60/$80 for a family subscription. The Expansion Pack will offer all the benefits of the standard NSO subscription, but you will be able to play the library of N64 and SEGA Mega Drive titles.

While there are some happy with the value of the Expansion Pack, many gamers have let their voices be heard by downvoting the Overview trailer. At the time of writing, the Overview trailer has just 17k upvotes, but a massive 118k downvotes.
Previously, the most downvoted Nintendo trailer ever belonged to Metroid Prime: Federation Force of E3 2015. That trailer has 11k upvotes and 97k downvotes. So, congratulations on the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack trailer, I guess?
In related news, fans have also been unhappy with the quality of the N64 titles included in the Expansion Pack. Fans have reported downgraded visuals and some serious lag issues.
