Skyrim fans rejoice! The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim can now run at super slick 60 FPS on PlayStation 5.

Sadly this isn’t a patch direct from Bethesda, but is instead a mod that you can pick up in-game from the mod shop via the main menu.
The mod has already been available on Xbox Series X|S for a short while now, but finally PlayStation 5 owners can get a smoother gameplay experience with Bethesda’s fantasy RPG.

As an added bonus, Skyrim appears to gain a small graphical boost and the mod doesn’t disabled Trophies, something that other mods on PlayStation can do.
Though I suppose as this mod doesn’t activate in-game cheats and gameplay advantages, it’s a reason why Trophies remain enabled. However Trophies will disable if other mods are running.
You can see the 60 FPS Skyrim mod in action via the gameplay video below, which was uploaded to the YouTube channel belonging to the author of the mod, Wrighton [via Eurogamer].
It’s also worth mentioning that the 60 FPS mod is also available on the base PS4 and Xbox One, as well as Xbox One X|S and PS4 Pro, though performances may vary depending on the system.

In other related Skyrim news, a mod recently released on PC that enables split-screen co-op (though this mod isn’t available on consoles, at least just yet).
