PlayStation has announced the free games for PS Plus subscribers for January 2021.
The games include one PS5 game and 2 PS4 games this time around.
First up we have a launch game for the PlayStation 5 swimming over to PS+. Maneater is a fun RPG game where you play as a shark. You could say it’s a ShaRkPG (because that’s what the developer calls it and it’s fun to say).
It’s a very silly game where you can do some wonderfully odd things. It also features the voice of Chris Parnell, who you might know from SNL or as Jerry Smith in Rick and Morty.
It’s only the PS5 version of the game which is getting included on PS+ but don’t worry there’s still some interesting games available for those of you after PS4 games.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider is the third game in the Tomb Raider reboot trilogy and includes some really intense set pieces. It also has some great puzzles. When we reviewed it we said:
“Shadow of the Tomb Raider is a satisfying finale to the reboot trilogy. Its world is populated with purpose and doesn’t spoon feed you everything. It’s a joy to explore and one that you’ll want to come back to again and again. An experience that will be enjoyable to newcomers, as well as series veterans.“

The final game making up PS+ in January is RPG Greedfall. PlayStation Blog describes it as an action RPG where you explore uncharted new lands as you set foot on a remote island seeping with magic, and filled with riches, lost secrets, and fantastic creatures.

All games will be available on PS+ from January 5th until February 1st 2021.
