Following the rumours of a Tony Hawk Pro Skater remake earlier this week it’s been revealed that there almost definitely is something in the works.
An interview with professional skateboarder Lizzie Armanto began making the rounds recently, in which she reportedly outright confirmed a new Tony Hawk game is happening.
Unfortunately, at the time of writing the audio clip has been edited on SoundCloud and is no longer available.
Chatting on The Nine Club podcast last month, Armanto was asked about her role in the last Pro Skater game, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5. She responded saying “he’s coming out with another one, and I’ll be in that too.”
There’s yet to be any official word from either Activision or the Tony Hawk team, so as always, take it with a grain of salt for now.
The news follows the supposed-leak from an industry insider claiming a remake was happening.
Video games leaker, Sabi, took to Twitter to tease us all with what could be one of the most-desired game remakes of all time: Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater.
Sabi, who has accurately predicated a number of leaks in the past, told their followers: “So about that Activision remake that had some work done I mentioned a week or two ago…Sure hope you like skating.”
Sabi then followed up the tweet with an update, writing: “Explanation of what I shared in my [Discord] server:
“An Activision contact told me a week or so ago about how Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 and 2 had demos/prototypes remade. They went around internally. I didn’t share before as I wasnt sure if they were being remade as full games, or just a test.”
Here’s hoping we’ll be seeing more of Tony Hawk sooner rather than later!
