Resident Evil 2 Remake Might Be Getting Surprise DLC

Capcom has been pretty clear about the fact that Resident Evil 2 Remake won’t be getting any more new content, but could the company be planning a secret DLC drop?

Players of the iconic horror game definitely seem to think so and it’s all thanks to a new achievement that’s popped up in the title. The achievement was spotted following an update to the PC version of the game which has since raised more than a few eyebrows.

The achievement [via Reddit/BioHazard Cast] bears the name “EN_name,” along with a placeholder symbol that gives absolutely nothing away. The same update also added to the Steam database, which suggests that Capcom is doing something behind the scenes: we just don’t know what.

On the Resident Evil Reddit thread, one user commented on the situation with: “I honestly would love a Ada story mode like RE4. Or better they could add the Original RE2 game as a extra mode, call it Classic Mode. Hey a guy can dream, right???”

Another added: “I hope it’s Ada’s side story. Or Extreme Mode. Or a Randomizer.

“Gosh, there’s so much they could have added to the game. I’m sad to see I finished all the content way too early which made me move to another game duo [sic] to low replay value.”

Of course, this is all just speculation until the overseers at Capcom can tell us otherwise. Maybe if we all ask really, really nicely we’ll get what we’re hoping for?
