We’ve been hearing rumours about a sequel to the much-loved PlayStation 2 classic, Bully, for years now, and another fresh ‘leak’ has just hit the internet courtesy of Reddit [via ComicBook].
The poster, who claims to have a friend who works at Rockstar Games, originally shared a lot of supposed information about the next Grand Theft Auto title.
In the comments, the poster was asked if they knew anything about a potential Bully 2, to which the OP responded: “Yes. Play as Jimmy. You’re a freshman. University. That’s all I got told about that. That’s all I wanna know. Big Bully fan. Don’t want any spoilers or potential let down from fake rumours.”
Whether or not there’s any truth to the rumour remains to be seen, but it’s not the first time we’ve heard about Bully 2…
Back in February this year, a supposed (unconfirmed) Rockstar developer commented on a YouTube video about the game, writing that yes, it’s in development.
Aaaand before that, a leaked casting call made its way to the internet, where it was suggested that Rockstar was hiring actors for a new Bully project.
Whether or not we’re getting Bully 2 – and if it will really star protagonist Jimmy Hopkins in college – remains to be seen. If it does ever make its way to store shelves, we can definitely expect a tamer and more toned-down title than the 2006 release.
Rockstar Games is known for being very risqué when it comes to its titles, but Bully is pretty much as far away from politically correct as it’s possible to get…
Right now it seems that Rockstar is hard at work on the next Grand Theft Auto game, so we might not be seeing Bully 2 for a while…if ever.
