Skyrim modder adds working ladders because Bethesda won’t

After 11 years, The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim modders add working ladders because Bethesda won’t. Happy days!

Skyrim players have taken matters into their own hands by finally adding workable ladders to the game. To be honest, it never dawned upon me that ladders weren’t a thing in the game, until now.

Thankfully the modding community is on the case and has taken matters into their own hands. Now you climb to the top of the Snowy mountains of Whiterun. Probably.

Embrace your inner Skyrim parkour!

According to the Skyrim subreddit, the “Everglaid’s Animated Traversal” mod does more than just allow players to climb ladders. The mod also adds new animations which allow players to duck under obstacles, climb ledges, squeeze through gaps and more. You’ll even be able to vault over walls!

Additionally, according to the description of the mod, players will also be prompted as to when they will be able to traverse certain obstacles and environmental terrain. Apparently, this prompt feature was inspired by the likes of Resident Evil, Tomb Raider and Cyberpunk 2077.

In related Skyrim news, a multiplayer co-op mod also becomes available this week in Bethesda’s ever-popular action RPG. Furthermore, Bethesda recently confirmed that The Elder Scrolls 6 is finally in pre-production. Hopefully, it arrives before the beloved Skyrim grandma dies.
