Oh Terraria, such a wonderful game that keeps on giving. Developed and published be Re-Logic, Terraria turns 10 years old in May 2021, and it’s hard to believe the classic title is already that age!
Terraria is the iconic anything-goes adventure game available on pretty much every gaming platform imaginable. With its instantly-recognisable art style and endless legions of fans, Terraria is just as beloved today as it ever has been. If you’ve yet to dabble with this gem, you’re definitely missing out!
In case you’re not familiar with Terraria, this charming adventure game has you digging, fighting, building and exploring in a world which is pretty much open to anything you can imagine. You’re aiming to survive and earn fame and fortune, but it’s up to you how you achieve your lofty goals.
As the game description asks: “Will you delve deep into cavernous expanses in search of treasure and raw materials with which to craft ever-evolving gear, machinery, and aesthetics?
“Perhaps you will choose instead to seek out ever-greater foes to test your mettle in combat? Maybe you will decide to construct your own city to house the host of mysterious allies you may encounter along your travels? In the World of Terraria, the choice is yours!”
With so many options and paths to take, and gameplay to suit almost every type of player, it’s not hard to see why Terraria is one of the most-popular indie games of all time.
Developer Re-Logic is still continuing to improve the title, with updates proving that Terraria is continuing to grow alongside its many players.
It might be hard to fathom Terraria turning 10 in 2021, but with its thriving community and its never-tiresome gameplay, we’re expecting it to still be just as popular in another 10 years!
