Spider-Man has been breaking records all over the place thanks to its amazing gameplay, fantastic story and perfect fluidity but it’s not just down to the brilliant minds at Insomniac Games.
Appearing in a video interview with Kinda Funny Games, Spider-Man’s creative director Bryan Intihar stated: “This game would not exist if it wasn’t for PlayStation, if not for their support.
“Any time I wanted to do something, and I wanted to make some drastic change, it was just like, ‘Okay’. I never heard about anything. It was just like, ‘Go do it.’
“The question was, ‘Is it gonna make the game better?’ and I’d say, ‘Yep’, and they’d go, ‘Okay’, and that would be the last time I’d hear about it.”
The game has already bested God of War’s first week of sales, smashing records and keeping fans glued to their TVs in what’s being called one of the best PlayStation exclusives of all time.
“So many people want to talk about Marvel and Insomniac – which is awesome… But I owe everything to PlayStation,” Intihar said.
It just goes to show that good teamwork makes for an even better games!
Spider-Man may have been out for just a week but already a New Game Plus mode has been announced.
Although there’s not yet a release date in place, the New Game Plus is expected to be arriving pretty soon which is great news for people who’ve already web-slung their way through the whole game and are looking for a new challenge.

It’s not known yet exactly what the Spider-Man New Game Plus mode will allow, but if God of War’s version is anything to go by we can probably expect a lot of reasons to put our Spidey suits back on!
