The one and only Tony Hawk is on tour, and he’s winning hearts by being supported by a Tony Hawk Pro Skater cover band. Hawk recently shared the news on Twitter, where he announced he’s going to be giving back to the fans by taking to the stage and talking all about his life.
Sadly, the “intimate gigs” will only be performed in Australia, which is good news for the land down under, but bad news for the rest of the world.
The events’ official description reads as follows: “An Evening with Tony Hawk – Pro Skater. Entrepreneur. Philanthropist. Video Game Character. Dad. Role Model. Violinist?
“Tony Hawk is returning to Aussie shores for an intimate gig like no other. With a live q&a hosted by television personality and gaming enthusiast Danny Clayton, and a very special performance by Birdman: Or the Unexpected Virtue of a Tony Hawk Pro Skater Cover Band, this night is guaranteed to be kickflipping magical.”
BIRDMAN: Or The Unexpected Virtue Of A Tony Hawk Pro Skater Cover Band, is best known for its work on Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1-4, meaning they’re going to be playing some absolutely belters.
If you’re lucky enough to be local to either Melbourne or Sydney, you can pick yourself up a ticket right here.
In other Pro Skater news, a supposed-leak from an industry insider last year claimed a remake was happening.
Video games leaker, Sabi, took to Twitter to tease us all with what could be one of the most-desired game remakes of all time: Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater.
Sabi, who has accurately predicated a number of leaks in the past, told their followers: “So about that Activision remake that had some work done I mentioned a week or two ago…Sure hope you like skating.”
Keep your fingers crossed, guys!
