Ubisoft is giving away free DLC for Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla which includes Altair’s outfit from the 2007 original.
The free Altair outfit is part of the “Godly Rewards” DLC pack, which would usually cost real-world money via the Animus Store.
However, the Godly Rewards DLC pack includes more than just the legendary Altair outfit.
It also comes with 300 Opal, which is the in-game currency used to purchase items from Reda the Mysterious Merchant.
The Godly Rewards DLC pack also comes bundled with some items that were only available in the previous Yule Festival in Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla. You’ll also get all the Settlement decorations from the Yule Festival, as well as the Modraniht armour set.
To claim the free Godly Rewards DLC pack, all you have to do is fire up the game, and over on the right-hand side of the main menu, you’ll see an image icon informing you of the free DLC.
So just click the icon which takes you directly to the Godly Rewards DLC pack on the Animus Store, select it and it will then be available when you next load up your saved game.
It’s a very consumer-friendly move by Ubisoft, especially as there has been some controversy about how many cosmetic items are available via the Animus Store, compared to the amount you can acquire in-game.
Just this week, a big update for Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla went live, which adds new abilities and various gameplay improvements. Oh, and it’s added more cats to the game. Lots of cats.
The update is also in preparation for the new Ostara Festival, which begins tomorrow on Thursday, March 18th.
In our review of Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla we said: “It’s fun, it’s vast and it continues to give players the freedom to do pretty much whatever they want to do in the game.”
