Naughty Dog seems to be open to the possibility of further Uncharted games and it hasn’t ruled out more from the franchise in the future.
Speaking to GamesRadar, Uncharted creative director Shaun Escayg, as well as game director Kurt Margenau, hinted that we haven’t seen the last of PlayStation’s beloved action-adventure series.
“I think we can say for certain that we can never say never,” said Margenau. “Yeah. Uncharted is a franchise we love that the studio loves, I love, and Kurt loves,” he added. “It’s a world we want to see more of. So, I can certainly say that.”
Obviously, this is by no means official confirmation that a new Uncharted game is on the way, but it’s nice to know that it’s thought of so fondly by its developers. Furthermore, it’s also one of Sony’s most popular series, so it’s unlikely that Uncharted 4 and The Lost Legacy would be the last we see of the franchise.
We have good news and bad news
This week saw the launch of Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection for PS5. This treasure trove of joy includes remasters of Uncharted 4 and The Lost Legacy.
However, if you were hoping for two more glorious Platinum trophies, then you’re out of luck. Unfortunately, despite including two games, the Legacy of Thieves Collection only has one Platinum trophy!
Fortunately, we do have some good news for you wannabe treasure hunters out there. By picking up Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, you can loot a free cinema ticket to see the upcoming Uncharted movie!
