Xbox Website Given A Makeover Inspired By The Original Console

The official Xbox website has been given another makeover, this time it’s inspired by the original Xbox console of 2001.

This year Microsoft is celebrating the Xbox consoles 20th anniversary. Yes, it’s really been two decades of Xbox gaming. Do you feel old? Because I do.

So, to keep up with the anniversary celebrations, Microsoft has now redesigned the official Xbox website inspired by the console that started it all.

Retro for the win!

This is not the first time that Microsoft has given the Xbox website a glorious retro makeover. Just last month the website was redesigned to celebrate the Xbox 360 ‘blades’ dashboard of 2005. Which by the way is my all-time favourite Xbox dashboard.

It’s been an incredible 20 years of Xbox gaming, which first began on November 15th, 2001, when the console launched alongside Halo: Combat Evolved. Twenty years later, Xbox is still going strong, and we even have a new Halo game to look forward to next month with Halo Infinite.

Recently we were treated to a new campaign trailer for Halo Infinite, and it was wonderful. The Master Chief’s latest adventure will release on December 8th for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

Do you have any fond Xbox memories to share from the last twenty years of Xbox and let us know which is your favourite dashboard across our social media channels.
