It looks very cool

You Can Get Yourself An Xbox Fridge Later This Week

After a viral meme, Xbox is finally launching its mini fridge to complete everyone’s gaming setup. You can order yours soon.

It began as a viral meme, and now Microsoft are officially launching an Xbox fridge. Pre-orders open on 19 October if you’re keen to add your gaming drinks and snacks to this iconic whitegood. Here in the UK it will be available through GAME and will cost £89.99.

On the Xbox blog, Microsoft highlight some of the features you can expect:

“The mini fridge, created in partnership with Ukonic!, gives “Xbox and Chill” a whole new meaning. With LEDs and surface-features made to resemble the Xbox Series X, your friends will be amazed while their thirst is quenched! The sleek matte-black tower holds up to 12 cans of your favorite beverage and has two shelves in the door, so you’ll be sure to have your favorite snacks at the ready.”

So how did we end up here? Back in March of last year, the Xbox Twitter account shared this Tweet:

It seemed like the Tweet unintentionally implied an Xbox fridge was in development, and fans went wild. Fridge for sale has become a fridge for sale. While the final product is a mini-fridge, rather than the full size fridge-freezer from the original Tweet, it’s pretty cool (sorry) that a fun Twitter meme has become reality.

We wrote back in June about the Xbox fridge saga – including how this isn’t even the first fridge created by the console company.

I’m particularly digging the lime green fridge light. Are you planning to buy the Xbox Mini Fridge? Let us know via our social media story.
