A talented indie developer has created Assassin’s Creed in Unreal Engine 5 and it looks like Ghost of Tsushima meets Shenmue.
For years fans have been calling for Ubisoft to create a full AAA Assassin’s Creed game set in ancient Japan. At the time of writing, that reality seems no closer to happening. However, a fan has taken matters into their own hands and the results are incredible.
The trailer highlighting the visual delights of the Assassin’s Creed project is a concept for the yet-to-be-revealed, Assassin’s Creed Infinity. A game that is said to be a live-service take on Ubisoft’s franchise.
However, at the end of the trailer, it says, “Assassin’s Creed: Hoshi,” which unless I missed something and forgive me if I’m wrong, but I think Hoshi translates to “Star” in English. Nonetheless, the trailer showcasing Assassin’s Creed in Unreal Engine 5 is no less impressive.
Assassin’s Creed has never looked better!
YouTuber TeaserPlay’s take on Assassin’s Creed Infinity is set in Kamakura-era Japan. TeaserPlay’s YouTube channel is full of epic fan-made remakes using Unreal Engine 5, so be sure to check that content out.
In the trailer, it shows an Assassin wearing Aguilar’s outfit from the 2016 movie starring Michael Fassbender. We also get to see gorgeous open landscapes which give us Ghost of Tsushima vibes. However, we also see some beautifully lit streets providing flashbacks of the Shenmue series.

We know little of Assassin’s Creed Infinity
At this time, little is officially known about Assassin’s Creed Infinity, so let’s hope that Ubisoft will reveal it all at some point this year.
