God of War Ragnarok will still be released this year. That’s at least what’s suggested by respected video game journalist, Jason Schreier.
On Reddit, a user asked: “Not a leak or rumor, but [does] anyone think that God of War Ragnarok might be delayed to 2023?” Various Reddit users gave their opinions on whether they believe Kratos’ next adventure might be released this year or not. However, it was a one-word reply that gathered the most attention.
Replying to the Reddit thread in question, Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier simply replied “nope.” Despite only replying with a single word, it seems that Schreier has suggested that God of War Ragnarok will be released this year.
Granted, this is by no means any form of official confirmation, so we must take speculation with a pinch of salt. That being said, Schreier is a well-informed journalist with plenty of contacts in the industry. So, his single word is as good as it gets unless that word is direct from Santa Monica Studio.
When will God of War Ragnarok be released?
After months of speculation on its name, the sequel to God of War (2018) was finally revealed in September 2021 with a glorious trailer. While we don’t have a confirmed release date yet, it is believed that God of War Ragnarok will be released at some point this year.
With E3 season fast approaching, hopefully, Sony will announce a release date via a State of Play event, as well as revealing a new gameplay trailer in the coming months.
God of War Ragnarok will be released on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Are you looking forward to the next adventure from Kratos and Atreus? Let us know across our social media channels.
