GTA Online Servers Go Offline In Less Than Two Weeks On Previous Gen Systems

The GTA Online servers from Grand Theft Auto 5 will be going offline in less than two weeks. So, prepare yourself to say goodbye.

Back in June, Rockstar Games announced that the GTA Online servers for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions will be turned off.

When exactly will the servers go offline?

The GTA Online servers will be turned off on Thursday, December 16th for PS3 and Xbox 360.

Will I still be able to play the single player campaign?

Yes, you need not worry. Even when the servers are offline, you will still be able to play the single player campaign. However, your stats will no longer be tracked via the Rockstar Games Social Club.

Will this impact the PS4 and Xbox One versions of GTA Online?

Nope, it will not have any impact whatsoever for GTA Online that comes bundled with GTA 5 on PS4 and Xbox One.

Will my Shark Card credit carry over?

No, your Shark Card credit will not carry over into any other version of GTA Online. Furthermore, the ability to purchase Shark Cards was removed on September 15th, 2021.

Additionally, as announced earlier in the year, the online functions for Max Payne 3 and L.A Noire were turned-off on September 16th. However, both the single player campaigns will not be impacted.

In related news, Max Payne 3 recently became backwards compatible for Xbox One as well as Xbox Series X|S. Sure, you can’t partake in its online multiplayer, but you can still enjoy its fantastic single player campaign.
