Hogwarts Legacy Won’t Have Multiplayer, Developer Confirms

In case you were wondering if Hogwarts Legacy will contain multiplayer gameplay, it has been confirmed by developer Avalanche Software that this will not be the case.

As reported by Game Rant last month, the frequently asked questions section of the Hogwarts Legacy website includes a question that asks: “Does Hogwarts Legacy have online or co-op gameplay?

The answer to this simply states: “Hogwarts Legacy is a single player experience and does not have online or co-op gameplay.” The developer also confirms that there will be no in-game purchases or microtransactions.

NO MULTIPLAYER IN HOGWARTS LEGACY

So that’s a shame if you were hoping to explore Hogwarts with your pals. However, the market has shown that multiplayer, live service titles can be hit-or-miss at the moment. So maybe sticking to what works best is the right move here for Avalanche Software.

In related Hogwarts Legacy news, the game has also been confirmed for Nintendo Switch and does not include Quidditch either.

Hogwarts Legacy will be out on PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and Nintendo Switch later this year. You can buy a copy for yourself on the GameByte Shop from £44.06.
