Evil Dead: The Game developer Saber Interactive is teaming with Aspyr to work on the upcoming Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake.
As reported by Eurogamer, during a Q4 Embracer Group report, it was revealed that Saber Interactive will join forces with Aspyr to develop the RPG described as a “massive product”.
“Aspyr has gone full in to make this the best game that they can make,” said board member, Matthew Karch. “When we acquired Aspyr, we knew from the start that they would require our assistance [and] Saber has tremendous expertise in creating these types of products.”
“We’re fully confident that the game is going to be fantastic but it’s a massive, massive product and massive products require a lot of effort and a lot of time to make good,” continued Karch.
An update is coming soon!

“And especially when you’re talking about a game already old (very old), we’ve basically had to remake that game from scratch,” before concluding that an update on the remake “in the next several months.”
Announced in 2021, Star Wars: KOTOR is a full remake of the 2003 classic, built from the ground up. However, unlike the original game, EA isn’t involved in its production. Furthermore, it’s also going to be a timed console exclusive on PS5.
