Nintendo Direct “Zelda blowout” event has reportedly been delayed due to the recent death of Queen Elizabeth II.
This week the United Kingdom and much of the world are in mourning due to the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. A reign that lasted 70 years from February 6th, 1952 to September 8th, 2022.
The Queen’s passing is dominating social media
Between now and the coming weeks, much of the world will be focused on the Queen’s passing as well as her funeral. As a result, some businesses might be required to adjust plans to counter media attention. One such company could be Nintendo.
Earlier this month, rumours were making the rounds that Nintendo will be hosting a Direct event dedicated to The Legend of Zelda. The rumoured Nintendo Direct has been described as a “Zelda blowout” and its expected Wind Waker, as well as Twilight Princess ports, will be announced for the Nintendo Switch.
Sources speculate on delayed Nintendo Direct
However, Twitch streamer Quarterdann claimed that this rumoured “Zelda blowout” will be delayed due to the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. This rumour was then collaborated on Twitter by industry insiders, Jeff Grubb and Mike Minotti.
It’s worth keeping in mind that this rumoured Direct event that is apparently dedicated to The Legend of Zelda has not been confirmed by Nintendo. So, we should take unconfirmed rumours and speculation with a pinch of salt.
