Assassin’s Creed Fans Think Ubisoft Is Teasing Remake Of First Game

Assassin’s Creed fans believe Ubisoft is teasing a remake for the original game that started it all back in 2007 on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

This week Ubisoft celebrated the 15th anniversary of the Assassin’s Creed series with a special livestream event. During the livestream, Ubisoft celebrated the history of the series as well as announcing that new content is coming to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Why do fans think a remake is coming?

As shared on Twitter by Assassin’s Creed fan account “AccessTheAnimus,” it was noticed that during a trailer highlighting the original 2007 game, it appeared that assets, as well as the definition, had been improved.

Sure, perhaps someone at Ubisoft just wanted to give the original game some extra love to make it shine during the anniversary celebrations. Right?

However, there is more as to why fans suspect that a remake or at the least a remaster could be on the way. Between now and September, Ubisoft will have sporadic Assassin’s Creed events. These events will conclude this September.

We would love to see a remake!

Furthermore, to celebrate the end of the Assassin’s Creed celebrations later this year, artwork from the original game is being used to market the event. Of course, this could mean absolutely nothing, but if there’s one game in the series that needs a remake or remaster, it’s the original game that hasn’t aged particularly well over time.

The Original Assassin’s Creed Really Deserves A Remake

Perhaps other Assassin’s Creed projects would be revealed in September, such as AC Infinity. However, I’m sure announcing a remake for the original game would please both veteran and new fans alike.
