Red Dead Redemption Remake Reportedly Leaked By Amazon

Rumours of a Red Dead Redemption remaster or remake has been around for a while, however, a new leaked listing could be the strongest indication yet that it could be happening.

Up until now, most of the rumours have been fairly baseless, but now the “Red Dead Redemption: The Outlaws Collection” has reportedly leaked via global giant retailer Amazon, it seems that there may be truth behind these rumours after all.

Note that – as with all rumours and leaks – this needs to be taken with a pinch of salt until confirmed.

Red Dead Redemption: The Outlaws Collection has since been removed from Amazon but the Twitter account known as Gaming Leaks & Rumours was able to share an image of the listing before it disappeared.

Red Dead Redemption: The Outlaws Collection will reportedly not only feature an enhanced version of Red Dead Redemption 2 with raytracing and faster loading times on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, but also a remake of 2010’s Red Dead Redemption.

As detailed in an article earlier this year, the Red Dead Redemption remake will supposedly not be a remaster but rather a full remake using the same engine as Red Dead Redemption 2.

The rumours from earlier in the year also claimed that new lines of dialogue were recorded for protagonist John Marston, which suggests that the remake would be getting new content.

In the Amazon description it also reveals that the remake of the original will not only be a “faithful, expanded remake” but it will also feature “new and familiar set of missions and faces.

The rumours earlier in the year were quite baseless, but when you throw in the reports of new lines of dialogue being recorded and the “new and familiar set of missions and faces” in the Amazon description it’s all starting to add up. Maybe.

The Amazon listing also mentions a release date of December 31st, 2020, which is likely to be a placeholder. However with The Game Awards taking place next month would Rockstar Games be set to make an official announcement soon?
