Spider-Man Remastered’s PC requirements have now been revealed

We revealed last month that Sony announced its once PlayStation exclusive, Marvel’s Spider-Man, will be coming to PC. The game, originally released in 2018, is coming to the PC as a Remaster and looks to feature all the original DLC.

During the original announcement, no specifications were given for what your PC needed in order to run the game. But as of the 20th of July, Marvel’s Spider-Man developers, Insomniac, have taken to the PlayStation site to finally set PC players’ minds at ease.

Insomniac is able to bring its Spider-Man game to the PC through a collaboration between PlayStation Studios and developers Nixxes Software and will release on the 12th of August on Steam and the Epic Games Store.

An issue that may pop up is that Insomniac is recommending that your PC has at least 16GB of RAM to run the game at 1080p/60fps. That can be almost double the amount a lot of standard gaming PC builds have.

Insomniac have still made it so that even without the fanciest of rigs, you should still be able to run Marvel’s Spider-Man, but you may want to play it at least the recommended spec to get the best experience.

Included with the PC version of the game will also be the addition of the use of multiple peripherals. If you have a PlayStation DualSense Wireless controller, you’ll be able to use it with the game as they have implemented adaptive trigger feedback and haptic responses.

You’ll also have customizable mouse and keyboard support, so you can tailor the controls to what suits you most. There’s also the option of using Steam’s Input Support, so you have a myriad of remapping options at your fingertips.

If you pre-order Marvel’s Spider-Man for the PC, you’ll also get a load of special items for the games, which include new suits for Spidey and more. You gain early access to the tech-heavy Iron Spider Suit, the one-of-a-king Spider-Punk suit and the original Velocity suit.

Pre-ordering will also unlock the Spider-Drone combat gadget early in the game, and you’ll get five extra skill points to spend to upgrade your movies and abilities.

Marvel’s Spider-Man is available to pre-order and will be coming to the PC, available via Steam and the Epic Games Store on August 12th.
