Starfield Will Be A “Modder’s Paradise” Claims Todd Howard

With the countdown to Starfield in full swing, Todd Howard has confirmed that the space RPG will be a “modder’s paradise”.

With Starfield releasing in just a few months, the Bethesda team are releasing more information on what we can expect from the upcoming title.

With news that there will be over 1000 planets to explore, detailed character customisation and role-playing options, it is bound to keep us busy.

Now Todd Howard has revealed that it is set to be a “modder’s paradise.”

Starfield Will Welcome The Modding Community

With Bethesda’s previous titles such as Fallout and Skyrim being the home of many mods, it is perhaps no surprise that the team is welcoming the passionate modding community into their newest title.

With many gamers never having even played the “vanilla” version of Skyrim thanks to its incredible mods, we can assume that Starfield will become the same.

In an interview with Kinda Funny Games, Howard spoke about the modding community.

“I think Starfield’s going to be a modder’s paradise,” he said. “It’s part of our DNA here – we’ve been doing it for over 20 years. Our community around that – because look, we’ve usually been classically single-player. That’s been our community, and people are still modding our games and playing them.

So we’re doing a lot of it, and I think one of the things I’ll call out is that it’s not just important for us to enable that, but to participate, right? To make it easy for them, to make this not just a hobby but a career. We’ve had a lot of great success there.”

Not Long To Wait

Starfield launches on September 6 for Xbox Series X/S and PC. If you can’t wait until then, you can access the game five days earlier… at a cost.
