The Last of Us remake Trophies are far easier to earn

The Last of Us remake will seemingly make Trophies a lot easier to earn compared to the original version of the Naughty Dog classic.

Some Trophies in The Last of Us were notoriously difficult to acquire. Take for example the Platinum Trophy for The Last of Us: Remastered, which has only been earned by 0.4% of players. Furthermore, the permadeath “Grounded Mode” difficulty Trophy has been earned by just 1.1% of players.

Will more players earn the Platinum?

Another Trophy not earned by the masses is the “all optional conversations” with just 1% of players earning the “I want to talk about it” Trophy in The Last of Us: Remastered.

Thankfully, however, if you thought the Trophies were a little too grindy in the original game, acquiring the Trophies in the remake appears to be much easier to earn. We know this, thanks to the remake’s leaked Trophy list courtesy of the Twitter account, Naughty Dog Central.

Some Trophies have changed in The Last of Us remake

The biggest change made to the Trophies is when completing The Last of Us: Part 1 as well as the Left Behind expansion. In the remake, you will no longer earn a Trophy for each difficulty.

Instead, you will earn a single Trophy each for the main story and its expansion. Hopefully, there will be some new unlockable items for beating the game on the hardest difficulties to reward players.

There’s a good boy in The Last of Us remake!

Many of the Trophies appear to be very similar to the original game, albeit some with a new name. There does however appear to be new Trophies too.

However, The Last of Us: Part 1 is also missing a lot of other Trophies compared to the OG. After all, the original game had the fun multiplayer mode known as “Factions“.

Unfortunately, just like The Last of Us: Part 2, this remake has no multiplayer mode. Thankfully at least, we do know that a standalone multiplayer game set within The Last of Us universe is on the way in 2023.

Interestingly, while the remake still gives you Trophies for discovering all collectables, apparently Naughty Dog has slightly tinkered with their location. A Twitter follower replied by asking if item locations were in the same places as the original game.

Twitter user “Kratos_playz”, someone that is credited by Naughty Dog Central for providing the leaked Trophy list revealed that items have moved. However, they can still be discovered near their original locations.

HBO has released the first tease for the TV series

In related news, even more, The Last of Us footage from the remake has leaked! Furthermore, Naughty Dog and HBO have released the first teaser trailer for the upcoming TV series adaptation.
