Fallout 76 is not the game you thought it was going to be. There was a big reveal yesterday about the new addition to the franchise with many rumours and ideas as to exactly what the new game will be. Bethesda didn’t give out many of the details to the game as they will be saving all that for their E3 Conference.
According to Kotaku‘s sources Fallout 76 will be an online survival Role Playing game which will have similarities to the likes of Rust and DayZ.
Just like in Rust players will start out (presumably in vault 76) with nothing and have to craft and forage their way to survival.
As of yet we are unsure exactly how much of the game will be similar to that of Rust and how much will be new ideas. Base building in Fallout 4 was well received by many players of the game so we hope to see more of that in Fallout 76.
This of course is believed to have come from a 4Chan post, which no one paid attention to, all the way back in December last year.
“fallout 76, a fallout themed Rust clone coming soon”
Impressively the 4Chan post got the name of the game correct and that it was inspired by Rust. How do they know this stuff?
They also managed to leak information about the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Game.
Many people thought that the announcement was going to be a remaster of Fallout 3 or Fallout New Vegas. Not many people thought it was going to be about a new game however this isn’t exactly what fans of the series had in mind when they heard that it was a new game.
We shall have to see how the community reacts.
Bethesda’s E3 Conference will be at 6:30pm PT on June 10th
