When asked if Gran Turismo could be coming to PC, Yamauchi replied: “Yes, I do think so.” However, Yamauchi also implied that there might be some technical hurdles to overcome.

Gran Turismo could be fantastic on PC

Gran Turismo is a very finely tuned title,” Yamauchi-san explained. “There are not many platforms which could run the game in 4K/60p natively, so one way we make that possible is to narrow down the platform. It’s not a very easy subject, but of course, we are looking into it and considering it.

Gran Turismo has only ever been released on PlayStation

If Gran Turismo 7 does come to PC, it could be likely, it would be the first time the series has been available on another platform. During its 25-year existence, GT has only been available on PlayStation.

That being said, as much as a technical marvel Gran Turismo 7 is on PlayStation, it was shrouded in post-launch microtransaction and progression controversy. Nonetheless, playing GT7 on a beast of a PC could prove to be something very special.
