At last week’s PlayStation State of Play, we finally got a release date for the cyberpunk cat game Stray.
A new gameplay trailer for Stray finally revealed that the game will be releasing July 19. This release date actually leaked last month, but the date wasn’t set in stone until now. But the State of Play was able to lock in that release date, meaning it’s not long to go until we get to explore that beautiful looking world.
The gameplay trailer showed off more of what we love the look of in Stray; a perfect lil friend running around a cyberpunk cityscape with its robot pal. Some of the locations in the city look ridiculously beautiful, and definitely will benefit from being on the PS5. Though for those who still can’t get their hands on one, it is coming to PS4 as well.
Perhaps the best news for prospective PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium subscribers, is that Stray will be included in the service. It sounds like this will be the first game taking the ‘available day one on Game Pass’ approach. Which is certainly a good sign for the service.
what else was shown off besides stray?
There were some other pretty big announcements at the event too. For one, that highly rumoured Resident Evil 4 Remake has finally been officially revealed. It looks to be using the RE Engine like its predecessors, and right now has a much more serious tone than the original.
We also got a proper look at the next Horizon game, a VR exclusive game called Horizon Call of the Mountain. Some gameplay was shown off for the first time, showing off an incredibly impressive looking experience.
