Xbox Game Pass Now Has Over 25 Million Subscribers

Xbox Game Pass now has over 25 million subscribers and that number will only grow in the months to come. Impressive!

Following this week’s news that Microsoft is acquiring Activision, it was also revealed that its subscription service is growing rapidly. However, following the acquisition, I would imagine that the subscription count will increase even more going forward.

The impressive subscriber numbers were revealed in a statement by Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer. “We also announced today that Game Pass now has more than 25 million subscribers. As always, we look forward to continuing to add more value and more great games to Game Pass,” said the Xbox chief.

If Game Pass is this popular now, just imagine how much more it will grow when the Call of Duty franchise is added to its permanent library of games. As well as of course, other big Activision titles such as Overwatch, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon, Tony Hawk Pro Skater and more.

Call of Duty will soon be on Xbox Game Pass

Considering the ever-growing success of Xbox Game Pass, not to mention the Microsoft and Activision Blizzard deal, it will be interesting to see what Sony does next with the PlayStation brand.

What’s next for Sony?

Recent rumours have suggested that Sony plans on combining both the PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now subscription services into one handy bundle.. Furthermore, Phil Spencer has welcomed the rumours by saying that it’s an “inevitability” that Sony will create a service to rival Xbox Game Pass.
