Back in February 2021, publisher Electronic Arts did say that it plans to officially reveal Battlefield 6 this spring, however, we now have a more clear indication as to when the reveal might be.

The claims were made by industry insider Jeff Grubb of GamesBeat during a livestream while chatting about all the recent big news of the video games world.

During the livestream a fan asked when Battlefield 6 might be announced. Grubb replied: “May.

He continued: “Things are still fluid. They haven’t announced anything publicly yet. But my understanding is that they’re probably looking at May.

If the May reveal is to be true (and I believe that it is), then that would make the announcement just before E3 2021 kicks off, which would make sense.

During recent E3 events, EA has run their own show called EA Play and it is very likely that Battlefield 6 will be revealed during that time, especially if the game aims to release late this year.

So when Electronic Arts announce the dates for EA Play near E3, we can pretty much expect Battlefield 6 to be revealed during the show.

In recent months we’ve heard numerous Battlefield 6 rumours from 128-player maps, fully destructible cities, the game’s location potentially being in Kazakhstan, and much more!

Also, when we take into consideration that the next Need for Speed has been delayed into 2022 so that the developers at Criterion can help on Battlefield 6, all signals are pointing towards an immediate reveal.

Obviously, at this time, this news is unconfirmed, so we must take all rumours with a pinch of salt.

However, with the E3 season just around the corner, we shouldn’t have too long to wait until Battlefield 6 is finally revealed.
